The Best UAE Credit Cards for Airport Lounge Access
If you're flying economy out of DXB or AUH more than four times a year, lounge access is the most under-priced benefit on a UAE credit card. The normal walk-in rate at Marhaba or Plaza Premium is AED 200 to AED 300 per visit. Before you even think of miles or cashback, a card that quietly gets you 10 visits to the lounge every year gives you AED 2,000 to AED 3,000 worth of value.
Here's the 2026 guide to UAE credit cards bundled with Marhaba, Plaza Premium, Priority Pass, LoungeKey and the proprietary networks, with the actual numbers you need to pick the right one.
The Four Networks That Matter
There are four lounge networks a UAE cardholder will encounter, and these are not interchangeable.
Marhaba is the UAE's homegrown lounge brand operating at DXB, AUH and SHJ, with a growing footprint in transit airports across the Gulf. It is the main domestic-network access for premium cards of ENBD, Mashreq and FAB.
Plaza Premium runs lounges across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, with a heavy presence in airports UAE residents transit through (Hong Kong, Heathrow T2, JFK T4). HSBC Premier and Standard Chartered Visa Infinite include Plaza Premium access.
Priority Pass has the world's largest network of more than 1,400 lounges. It is included with Visa Infinite, Mastercard World Elite and most premium UAE cards as 6 to 10 visits a year, with unlimited access on the highest tier. Membership tier matters: Standard gets you no free visits, Standard Plus gets you 10, and Prestige gets you unlimited.
LoungeKey is Mastercard's competing network, often bundled with Mastercard World Elite cards. It has a smaller footprint than Priority Pass but offers free access at some UAE-relevant airports.
Tier 1: Unlimited Lounge Cards
Mashreq Solitaire
The Mashreq Solitaire includes unlimited Priority Pass for the cardholder and supplementary, plus Marhaba access at DXB. The annual fee is AED 1,500 to AED 2,000, but for a frequent flyer pair it's the highest-value lounge card on the UAE market. Together, two cardholders visiting lounges 12 times a year already generate AED 4,800+ of value at AED 200 walk-in equivalent.
HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard
With HSBC Premier you get unlimited Priority Pass plus LoungeKey, plus the whole stack of Premier customer benefits (priority banking, airport limo on bigger spends). The card requires Premier banking eligibility (usually AED 350,000+ in deposits or relationships), so it is not a standalone product.
Standard Chartered Visa Infinite X
Standard Chartered's flagship offers unlimited Priority Pass with Marhaba and a wider suite of concierge. Annual fee is AED 1,500 to AED 2,500 depending on tier, with better waivers on salary transfer.
Tier 2: Limited-Visit Premium Cards
Emirates NBD Skywards Infinite
Marhaba access at DXB plus Priority Pass with a capped number of visits (typically 6 to 10 per year). For most travelers this is enough, as a flyer who takes four trips a year rarely needs unlimited.
FAB Etihad Guest Infinite
Marhaba at DXB, plus Etihad's own lounge access logic at AUH for Etihad ticket holders, with Priority Pass on top.
ADCB Etihad Guest Above
Similar bundle to the FAB offering, but with ADCB-specific perks added on.
Citi Prestige
Citi Prestige's Priority Pass gives you Prestige-tier access (unlimited cardholder plus complimentary guest access), making it one of the few remaining global lounge cards in the UAE market. The trade-off is the acceptance footprint, with Amex and Citi Prestige accepted at fewer merchants in the UAE compared to Visa or Mastercard.
Tier 3: Lounge Access on Mid-Fee Cards
CBD Visa Infinite, RAKBANK World Mastercard, ADCB Touchpoints Infinite
Each one gets you 4 to 8 Priority Pass visits a year. That's enough to cover the annual fee for an international traveler going once a quarter.
Liv. Credit Card
Lounge access is not the headline, but Liv. has from time to time run promotional Marhaba access campaigns. Read the current terms, as they change year by year.
What to Watch in the Fine Print
Guest fees. Unlimited cardholder access does not equal unlimited guest access. Guests using Priority Pass usually pay USD 32 (~AED 117) per visit unless the card is Prestige-tier. For a couple that travels together, a Prestige-tier card or a card that explicitly bundles free supplementary access is materially better.
Marhaba terminal restrictions. Marhaba access on Emirates NBD cards is usually at Marhaba lounges in DXB Terminal 1 and 3 rather than the Emirates Lounge in Terminal 3. Don't confuse the two, since the Emirates Lounge is gated by Skywards Gold/Platinum status, not by your credit card.
Plaza Premium at DXB. One of the better domestic options is the Plaza Premium lounge at Dubai International. Most premium cards will give you Plaza Premium DXB access via Priority Pass or LoungeKey.
How to Pick
Count the times you fly through an airport each year. Multiply by AED 250 to estimate walk-in cost. If that number exceeds AED 1,500, an unlimited Priority Pass card pays for itself; below that, a 6-to-10-visit card from the mid-fee tier is the right call. And if you're flying with a partner regularly, prioritize cards that include free supplementary or guest access, as that's where the math really moves.
